Below is a calendar of Hilo events for April 2010 put together from many different calendars.

The big event in April is the week of MERRIE MONARCH - the world's most famous Hula competition. Groups from around the world come to Hilo to compete. The Miss Aloha Hula contest is also held during Merrie Monarch along with a Hawaiian arts and crafts fair, numerous exhibitions and events showcasing hula, and the Royal parade downtown finale.
