Big events happening this month are the Namaste's birthday at the zoo, Polynesian dance extravaganza, Hilo Bay Wayfaring and Navigation festival, Taste of Hilo event, Hilo Hooganji Mission centenial celebration, concerts, and great planetarium shows every day at 'Imiloa Astronomy center.
